The concept was simple: using only sheet and bar stock, build a watch. From an engineering point of view, the mechanics are pretty simple too.

Much of the inspiration for the design came from George Daniels’ book entitled Watchmaking, however in the book Mr. Daniels gives the dimensions for a pocket watch. This didn’t meet my criteria for being ultimately portable, so I have created my own design.
